TABOR TALK
By Cynthia S. Nelson, EVP

MARK THOSE CALENDARS and Save the Date of Monday, February 13 which is the date of our Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet.  The banquet festivities will be held in the cafeteria of South Columbus High School.  The banquet begins at 6:30 p.m.   You will go through the buffet line and fix your plate and be seated.  Feel free to enjoy the fellowship with others as you eat.  The program will promptly begin at 7:00 p.m.
The speaker for the evening will be Senator Michael Walters.  Senator Walters will share some inspiring words of motivation with us.  We are excited and looking forward to hearing what he has planned for us regarding small towns.
Four new directors as follows will be installed during the banquet: Shannon Cribb of Palmetto Personal Care Services, Richard Godwin of the SCHS Stallion Booster Club, Greta Ragan of P & G Rental, and Joseph Small of Columbus Regional Healthcare System.  Dale Norris of Columbus County Schools will serve a consecutive three year term and he will be installed also.  The 2012 officers will also be installed during the banquet.
The Outstanding Citizen of the Year and the Business of the Year awards will be presented during the evening.  We will also have a brief slide presentation focusing on our town.
We are certain you will not want to miss any portion of the banquet evening so call us today to RSVP.  The cost is $25 per person.  This price includes dinner.  We will be expecting to see you on Monday, February 13!!
